  • 2. Apply for a job


    After clicking on „Apply“ you must either create a new candidate profile or log into your existing one. There you can upload your application documents and provide additional information. You may update your candidate profile whenever appropriate and use it for any application at SGL.

  • 3. Automatic confirmation of receipt


    You will receive an automatic confirmation by email when we receive your application. 

  • 4. Application Prescreening


    Your application will be reviewed by HR. If your skills and experience match our need, your application will be forwarded to the hiring department. This may take a few days but also longer in individual cases.

  • 5. The selection process


    If selected after initial screening, you are invited to introduce yourself in person. Details of the selection process depend on the position. We conduct one or more interviews (virtual or face-to-face) with interesting candidates. 

  • 6. Job offer


    If you have completely convinced us, you will receive an offer. Depending on the respective legal regulations, certain checks (e.g. health check, background check) take place either before making the offer or after its acceptance. 

  • 7. Onboarding


    Your onboarding starts with the acceptance of the offer. We provide you with any support in order to hit the ground running on your first day at SGL.

Tips for your application process

You may add to your candidate profile or application by uploading additional documents detailed below: ​

CV/résumé ​
This provides an overview of your educational/professional background as well as special qualifications. When uploading a résumé, the system transfers certain data to the corresponding fields of your candidate profile ("parsing"), which can then be edited and supplemented. It is encouraged to upload a resume if you have one. ​

Cover letter (optional) 
The purpose of a cover letter is to give a recruiter or hiring manager a more detailed view of your accomplishments and a sense of what we can expect of you when it comes to a hire. You can explain your reasons for applying to a particular job as well as the possible starting date and your salary expectations. ​

Other documents relevant to the position (optional) ​
Other documents are additional records that you think may be relevant to include with your application. For example these may include job specific certifications, training or school certificates, vocational trainings or university degrees, references, and any other supporting documents. ​

You have not been able to find a suitable position? No problem. You are also welcome to send us a speculative application, provided you have not already created a candidate profile. If you have already created a candidate profile with us, please apply on a specific posting.
