Business Unit Controller (m/f/d)

Your Opportunity:

In this role, you will shape financial transparency, performance steering and value creation across the organization. As a trusted partner to management, you will turn financial and operational insights into clear recommendations.

• Lead financial controlling, reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the Business Unit  (BU) Fiber Composites across its 5 Business Lines and 7 sites, ensuring consistent financial transparency towards BU Management and the Board of Management
• Manage profitability and cash flow, coordinate the global BU finance community against defined targets and drive continuous improvement of forecasting, working capital, CAPEX and OPEX processes
• Coordinate monthly performance reviews and provide focused KPI reporting to the BU Management and local management, while streamlining reporting processes to improve efficiency in strong collaboration with Corporate Functions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, etc.)
• Act as a trusted Business Partner by challenging business assumptions, translating financial and operational developments into actionable recommendations and ensuring that relevant risks are reflected in forecasts, plans and management discussions
• Support investment and strategic decisions through robust business cases, scenario analyses and risk management assessments
• Steer relevant spend areas through analysis, target setting, initiative definition and KPI tracking in cooperation with the Global Procurement Organization
• Leading strategic projects in the BU, e.g., M&A projects, significant growth CAPEX projects
• Generation of updated or new business strategies in close alignment with Head of BU FC

Your Profile:

• University degree in finance or business administration, MBA or a comparable qualification with a focus on controlling and finance
• At least eight years of managerial and/or operational experience in an international environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills in a global, matrix-based and team-oriented environment
• Proven entrepreneurial, proactive behavior and hands-on mentality as well as proven experience in leading change
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving as well as project management skills in a complex industrial environment
• Advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 and BW, as well as solid IFRS knowledge
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
