Site Cost Analyst

The Site Cost Analyst assists in all financial planning, product costing, analysis and reporting activities to ensure consolidated reporting at Valencia Legal Entity.  The Site Cost Analyst will be the business partner responsible for supporting the Plant Controller, Business Unit and Site Management Teams as the “commercial conscience” of the plant. The Site Cost Analyst will anticipate and address business issues, communicate financial results compared to forecasts and provide variance analysis to the Plant Controller.  The Site Cost Analyst will have the ability to function in a matrixed environment at a broad-based level while being capable of driving detailed execution thought sound decision and financial analysis

 

Responsibilities:

Budget and Standard Costs Development Process:

  • Initiate, lead and coordinate budgeting process (OMP) on site level
  • Own and oversight the standard costs development and annual costing rolls
  • Challenge and approve cost center budgers and product costs, prepare site level budget P&L and Working Capital

Financial Analysis and Site Performance:

  • Own and support site revenue positing, sales margin analysis and partner with Shared Service Team to trouble shoot AR/AP/GA/CA related topics
  • Analyze and interpret financial performance, KPIs, product and operational costs and proactively interfere directly, provide countermeasures and support cost improvement initiatives
  • Work with production to understand impacts on financial performance and identify cost drivers
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis, financial reporting in accordance with legal, regulations and company deadlines/guidelines
  • Prepare all financial monthly forecasting (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with management procedures
  • Responsible for solid financial analysis and business cases support with regards to capital investments

Business Steering:

  • Ongoingly analyze product costs, sales/gross margins and review with production and sales for improvements
  • Responsible for providing solid financial assessment of risks and reports to management
  • Partner with the Site Controller/Management Team to drive profitability and improve productivity

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, MBA or similar
  • Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in the areas of finance and accounting (Experience in an industrial and/or auditing company preferred)
  • Experience in international project management/multi-national company(ies) matrix organizations
  • Experience/knowledge regarding IAS and/or US GAAP
  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks concurrently
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High degree pf proficiency in SAP FI/CO module (key user experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
