Quality Engineer

Manages Foil grading, generates certificates of conformance/analysis. Coordinates calibration of tools & equipment, and QC and Foil databases. Analyzes and generates data for management and engineers. Assists with Non-Conforming Material Processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performs foil master roll grading, dispositions, and reworks as needed, to conform to specifications. 
  • Publishes daily Foil Grading Report for Management, Production Control, Foil Line and QC.
  • Generates Certificates of Conformance/Analysis of materials for shipment and as requested by Sales.
  • Generates Historical Data Reports as requested by Management and Engineers.
  • Interacts with Production Control, Shipping, Sales and QC regarding issues that affect generation of Certificates.
  • Work with internal and external parties to maintain proper & regular calibration of equipment in the plant
  • Assist with Non-Conformance Analysis & Disposition
  • Assist with the maintaining of Controlled Documents
  • Assist the Engineering Department with the management of the site’s data acquisition systems
  • Maintains the operation and maintenance of the Foil Line and QC databases.
  • Coordinates with the Software Developer when databases require repair or update.
  • Train Foil Line operators and coordinates with all shifts regarding database, scanner and grading issues.
  • Develops recipes for all Foil master roll types.
  • Develops certificate templates for all internal and customer specifications for all product types.
