Cost Analyst
We are looking for an experienced, skilled and motivated Finance professional who shares our passion for innovative strength, team spirit and personal responsibility. The Cost Analyst in our Valencia manufacturing plant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and analyzing financial data. This includes standard cost calculations and month end closing & budget activities, with a focus on variance analysis. The Cost Analyst is a critical Business Partner supporting the local Plant Management team, the Plant Controller and the Business Unit teams in North Carolina and Germany. This position is an on-site role which requires to be on-site 100% of the time. For this position we do not offer relocation support or visa support.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for month-end closing, process the SAP cost accounting closing tasks, owning the site revenue postings, etc
- Coordinate the annual budget process on plant level.
- Own the standard costs calculation and analysis, working together with stakeholders like Production and Engineering.
- Organize local inventory control / auditing procedures, conduct inventory cycle counts.
- Analyze and interpret financial performance KPIs, help to identify countermeasures and support cost improvement initiatives. Work with Production to understand impacts on financial performance and identify cost drivers.
- Prepare variance analysis and financial reports in accordance with legal regulations and company deadlines & guidelines.
- Support capital investment requests or business case calculations by providing financial analysis.
- Partner with the Plant Controller & the Management team to drive profitability and improve productivity.
- Further responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Your Profile:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting / analysis, preferably in industrial / manufacturing environments.
- Required proficiency in Excel and SAP.
- Knowledge of IAS / GAAP and cost accounting standards.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in driving process improvement
- Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks concurrently.
- You are self-motivated, hands-on and detail oriented with the ability to take initiative.
