Production Supervisor, CNC Machining

The Production Supervisor is responsible for all production employees in the Lathe Department.  Supervisor is required to participate actively in Departmental Safety Meetings, and continuous improvement activities. This position requires knowledge of blueprint reading, CNC programming and operation. Supervisor must be able to multi-task. Supervisor must communicate and assist other supervisors and departments throughout the St. Mary’s site.   Current shifts available:  Steady 3rd shift (10:00pm - 6:00am) or a rotating 1st/2nd shift. 

 

Your Opportunity: 

  • Supervises all assigned operations on the shift according to established manufacturing specifications within production schedules cooperating with other departments to assure proper product flow.
  • Keeps proper authorities notified of issues concerning production, schedules, quality or scrap problems.
  • Safe guards all company property and sees that all tools and equipment are in good operating condition and maintains work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner. Supports and participates in the TPM process.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Gathers, computes, records, and compiles data for production, cost, quality, maintenance, near miss or accident reports.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Utilizes training and education to manage and coordinate all the activities within the assigned department

 

Your Profile: 

  • Experience in graphite or related machining operations.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, CNC programming and machining operations.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office required.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a large workload efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization demonstrating both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Associates degree in technical discipline, preferred.
  • SAP and Shop Vue experience, preferred.
