Manufacturing Coordinator

The Manufacturing Coordinator provides administrative support to the site Operations Manager and supervisors.  Performs any combination of following and similar duties requiring knowledge or systems or manufacturing processes and procedures.  Additionally, provides fill-in responsibilities for OMX Manager and supervisors in their absences. 

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Prepares statistical reports on extent, i.e. OTD and Machining KPI’s, month end departmental spending.
  • Maintains hourly employee records, headcount and overtime reports by department, non-exempt vacation schedule tracking and changes, Apprentice Hour Tracking, New Hire trial period hour tracking

  • Review daily efficiencies and indirect labor charges.

  • Prepares daily information for the Gemba boards in support of supervisors

  • Monitor Shop-Vue errors and hourly attendance points records.

  • Analyze daily scrap report, assigns responsibility for machining scrap (COPQ) for the lathe and finishing departments, and reports to management.

  • Routinely works on special projects as directed by Production Supervisor

  • Order supplies on SRM or SAP storehouse items.

  • Monitors inventory levels for blanks to produce platters and issues material to work orders for platters and additional stock orders in Shopvue and SAP

  • Certifies platter and other stock orders in GSE and completes in Shopvue (7TM01 Test Prompt standard cost development/maintenance)

  • Data entry as needed for Calvin for tool crib/tool certifications

  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly cycle counting of inventory

  • Enters all machine setup sheets for CNC/Finishing/Conventional machines into master log and SharePoint System

 

Your Profile:

  • Ability to use a computer and various software packages including SAP, Shopvue, Microsoft Office (Excel) and EBP/SRM
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communication, email, and record keeping. 
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem solving skills
