Manager, Supply Chain

The SGL site in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, is our largest graphite component processing site worldwide and employs around 310 people. It is characterized by its broad product portfolio and expertise in machined, purified and CVD coated parts used especially in the fast growing LED and semiconductor industries. The site is part of the Business Unit Graphite Solutions.


 

The Supply Chain Manager manages the Planning group in St Marys, consisting of 6 direct reports (Production Planners, Coordinators, Master Production Scheduler, Supervisor).  They are the direct owner of the St. Marys facility activity of the Sales and Operation Planning (SOP) process.  

What to expect: 

  • Manage daily production planning, scheduling and material supply activities for the STM site.
  • Guide and support detailed capacity analysis vs order inquiry activities in conjunction with operations to ensure high utilization of assets and competitive Lead-times and On-Time-Delivery.
  • Provide direction regarding training, skillset development and goals for the planning and material issue teams to support a complex customer base.
  • Define roadmap in collaboration with production leadership to improve planning processes and efficiency.
  • Manage the interface with both Regional and Global Sales teams and the planning and material supply teams.
  • Monitor, analyze and report STM On-Time-Delivery and Lead Times on monthly basis.
  • Provide weekly updates on production order status, bottlenecks, Lead-times, OTD and coordinates and presents the monthly S&OP process.
  • Perform quarterly/yearly sales forecast review/analysis and extrapolation into production hours and runs for planning purposes
  • Provide upcoming monthly sales forecast, and analysis of monthly orders and past dues.
  • Develop and report monthly rolling inventory structure and forecast.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Sales/Customer relations, and Leadership in matrix organizations.
  • Strong technical understanding, strategic thinking, and ability to solve complex problems
  • Self-driven, highly structured working style in a complex environment
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and coaching skills.
  • SAP Production Planning
