Saw Operator

Position Summary: 

The Saw Operator sets up and runs all saws and sanders to produce rough cut and finish cut parts per work order instructions.  They change saw blades and sanding belts, and perform minor repairs and maintenance to their equipment. Saw Operators will identify best practices to provide a safe and efficient work area. 

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Read and follow blue prints and work order instructions
  • Set up and operate equipment to produce parts within tolerances
  • Minor repairs and maintenance to equipment; change saw blades
  • Operate all lifting devices
  • Ability to complete all paperwork regarding material, first article inspection

 

Your Profile: 

  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
  • Ability to read a tape measure, operate saw, fork truck
  • Attention to detail and ability to work without close supervision
