Quality Inspector

SGL CARBON Far East Ltd. Shanghai is a company solely funded by SGL Carbon in Shanghai Comprehensive Industrial Development Zone. The company, established in April 2003, provides high-quality graphite materials, products and composites to semiconductor industry, automotive and mechanical industry, high-temperature industry, other industrial applications such as mold making and non-ferrous metal. The special graphite products of SGL Carbon include isostatic graphite, extruded and vibrated graphite (including high purity-graphite with ash content below 5ppm), C/C composite materials, flexible graphite foil and graphite felt.

 

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • In & out raw material inspection. Out-sourcing graphite products inspection and records according to product acceptance standards.
  • Disposal for non-conformity raw material according to company procedure.
  • Inspection for initial piece, product in process and final products. Identify, detect and record quality problem to prevent non-conformity products moving to next step or customer.
  • Record and statistic inspection. Push the rework process for non-conformity products.
  • If any big quality problem, report to production and quality department and stop the process.
  • Perform marking traceability in case of material confusion. Check and monitor the marking traceability status. Correct the deviation.
  • Perform 5S and safety work within quality department.
  • Finish other tasks according to supervisor guard. (e.g. support inspection tasks of SGT).
  • Perform gauges daily maintenance.
  • Others assigned by line manager. 

 

Main Requirements:

  • More than 2 years inspection experience in machining industry.
  • Familiar with Office series software.
  • Familiar with measuring devices usage such as caliper, micrometer and gauges.
  • Familiar with diameter grading standard and thread grading standard in metric, American scale and imperial scale.
  • Have 2D drawing reading ability.
