Maintenance Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team at our site in Muir of Ord. The purpose of this role is to maintain the chopping heads to ensure full functionality and that production targets are met.
Your Opportunity:

  • Strip down, clean and reassemble Finn & Fram Chopping heads to ensure full functionality.
  • Identify and refer any changes in Chopping head conditions to minimise wear and damage.
  • Maintain Log book of Chopping heads to comply with preventive maintenance programme.
  • Change anvil sleeves and turn down new and used sleeves to ensure continuing Chopping.
  • Perform other duties within Engineering within own level of competence to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Undertake site-wide unskilled activities to maintain required housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
  • Support Stores during peak times of cycle counts & stocktaking.

Your Profile:

  • Standard Grade English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of semi-skilled mechanical engineering activities in a production environment.
  • Experience in working to statutory and company requirements on Health & Safety, Quality and Environment.
