Warehouse Coordinator

SALARY

$21.00 - $28.00

 

SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENTS 
The warehouse coordinator is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the day-to-day tasks in the warehouse and storeroom.  In addition, this person may be asked to assist/support in other areas throughout the facility.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

•    Maintain a secure and accurate inventory within the storeroom and warehouse.
•    Maintain an organized work environment, at all times.
•    Perform spare parts transactions in SAP using the Mobisys scanners.
•    Support/Coordinate month end inventory transactions as needed.
•    Perform SAP transactions as needed.
•    Work closely with shipping and receiving coordinator to ensure that physical inventory location matches what is in SAP
•    Create and maintain new material numbers in SAP for spare parts and other requested supplies per each PCIS form completed.
•    Back up point of contact for trucks/visitors entering plant site.
•    Provide back up to shipping and receiving coordinator as needed.
•    Maintain open communication with production and maintenance departments on daily activities and provide information as needed.
•    Work closely with maintenance planner/scheduler to ensure needed parts are available as well as maintaining proper inventory levels.
•    Coordinate removal of garbage and cardboard recycle bins throughout the facility as needed.
•    Responsible for maintaining and creating necessary work instructions for activities in and around the warehouse.
•    Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
•    Perform all other tasks as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office; must be able to learn SAP
  • Must efficiently work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must maintain professional approach in high stress environment.
  • Must possess and maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable and respond in a timely manner to all co-workers and suppliers.
  • Must maintain forklift certification as required.
  • Must have and maintain an excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Must possess an overall knowledge of plant policies and work instructions.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock; occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
