Controls Engineer
Position Summary:
The Controls Engineer is responsible to design, improve, modify and maintain the physical infrastructure of the facility and its manufacturing equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Designs and develops all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery
- Responsible for installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
- set-up, programming, testing, and implementation of PLC systems used for production automation and industrial equipment design
- Integration with SCADA system
- Proficient reading and understanding engineering drawings including electrical diagrams and P&ID's
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks/projects
- Coordinate maintenance projects within budget
- Provide technical support as required to ensure plant equipment is operating and optimized
- Ensure proper management and documentation of PLC programs, drawings, and related information for projects
- Assist maintenance staff in troubleshooting equipment/systems
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 5-7 years Electrical experience
- Knowledge of both power and control systems
- Highly flexible with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a multi-site environment
- Proficient reading and understanding engineering drawings including electrical diagrams and P&ID's
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks/projects
- Coordinate maintenance projects within budget
- Strong analytical skills
