Controls Engineer

Position Summary:

The Controls Engineer is responsible to design, improve, modify and maintain the physical infrastructure of the facility and its manufacturing equipment.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designs and develops all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery
  • Responsible for installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
  • set-up, programming, testing, and implementation of PLC systems used for production automation and industrial equipment design
  • Integration with SCADA system
  • Proficient reading and understanding engineering drawings including electrical diagrams and P&ID's
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks/projects
  • Coordinate maintenance projects within budget
  • Provide technical support as required to ensure plant equipment is operating and optimized
  • Ensure proper management and documentation of PLC programs, drawings, and related information for projects
  • Assist maintenance staff in troubleshooting equipment/systems

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 5-7 years Electrical experience
  • Knowledge of both power and control systems
  • Highly flexible with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a multi-site environment
  • Proficient reading and understanding engineering drawings including electrical diagrams and P&ID's
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks/projects
  • Coordinate maintenance projects within budget
  • Strong analytical skills
