Senior Process Engineer
Position Summary
The position has responsibility for the management, implementation and development of the Operations Management System (OMS) at the site Arkadelphia (BU CS) and supports the definition, implementation and improvement of global OMS standards and best practice solutions. Responsible for the implementation of new processes and/or production equipment in the plant and secures the compliance of SGL internal and customer compliance of guidelines while supporting the production and project team during the project lifecycle to reach targets and optimize performance. #CB1
Key Accountabilities
Develops and drives in alignment with the Site Operations Manager all local OMS & engineering activities, projects and plans:
• Owns the governance of all locally implemented OMS Elements and Principles, their roll-out and development plan as well as the local adherence to the formal OMS standards including the quality of the site KPIs
• Develops together with the site management team an OMS based continuous improvement roadmap to reach site targets
• Supports the local production teams and coaches cross-functional and interdisciplinary project teams to ensure the achievement of the site targets and initiates corrective measures in the event of deviations (work package management)
• Is responsible for the generation of the local KPI reports and definition of counter measures
• Actively involved in the development of new standards at site Arkadelphia
• Close communication to the site management team as well as the responsible project core team member from sister plants for the implementation of new projects at site Arkadelphia
• Leads and/or supports the installation of new production equipment for new processes
• Communicates with supplier and/or internal project team as sub-project leader according project plan
• Ensures that the needed standards are respected into new production equipment
• Supports with recommendations for bids and proposals
Your Profile
Engineering Bachelor's degree or comparable
Experience in the production environment of an industrial company as well as lean and project management is an advantage
At least 3 years in Automotive supply industry in an engineering and/or lean area
Lean & Performance Management/Six Sigma experience
Excellent planning, organisation and project management skills
Leadership, drive and the ability to gain commitment and support from others
Entrepreneurial thinking with a high customer, employee and quality orientation
