We are currently offering an exciting temporary opportunity for a motivated professional to join our Finance team as:
Accounts Payable/General Ledger Europe (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
As a member of our accounting department, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Your main duties will include:
- Processing all accounts payable tasks efficiently and on time
- Verifying amounts, payment terms, and VAT compliance
- Accurately coding down payments and invoices to the correct general ledger accounts
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate vendor records
- Working with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, ensure cash discounts and/or confirm payment of outstanding invoices
- Investigating and resolving issues related to vendor accounts through phone, email, or written correspondence
- Collaborating with global production sites and corporate functions;
- Performing regular and ad-hoc General Ledger postings
- Analyzing and reconciling assigned General Ledger accounts
- Supporting month-end closing activities and financial reporting
Your Profile:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive team member with the following qualifications:
- A university degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages such as German, Portuguese, Italian, or Polish are a plus
- Proven experience with SAP (mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through with attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to internal and external stakeholders
- A team player who can also work independently
