Plant Controller

The Site Controller manages all financial planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting activities to ensure consolidated reporting at Valencia Legal Entity.  The Site Controller will be the business partner responsible for supporting the Corporate, Business Unit and Site Management Teams as the “commercial conscience” of the plant. The Site Controller will anticipate and address business issues, communicate financial results compared to forecasts and provide variance analysis to management.  The Site Controller will have the ability to function in a matrixed environment at a broad-based level while being capable of driving detailed execution thought sound decision and financial analysis.


Budgeting Process:
•    Initiate, lead and coordinate budgeting process (OMP) on site level.
•    Challenge and approve cost center budgets and product costs, prepare site level budget P&L and Working Capital.
Financial Analysis and Site Performance: 
•    Analyze and interpret financial performance, KPIs, product and operational costs and proactively interfere directly, provide countermeasures and support cost improvement initiatives.
•    Work with production to understand impacts on financial performance and identify cost drivers.
•    Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting in accordance with legal, regulations and company deadlines/guidelines.
Forecasting and Cash Flow Management:
•    Responsible for the accuracy of site product costs, inventory valuation, and managing working capital and cash flow to align with Business Unit (BU) targets
•    Prepare all financial monthly forecasting (balance sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with management procedures
•    Responsible for solid financial analysis and business cases support with regards to investments
Business steering: 
•    Ongoingly analyze product costs, gross margins and review with production and sales for improvements.
•    Responsible for providing solid financial assessment of risks and reports to management.


• Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks concurrently.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferably good knowledge of SAP R/3 (key user experience).


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MBA or similar.
• Minimum 5 to 7 yrs professional experience in the areas of finance and accounting (Preference to experience in an industrial and/or auditing company).
• Experience in international project management/multi-national company(ies) matrix organizations.
• Experience/knowledge regarding IAS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience in managing direct reports.
