Operations Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations to ensure that a quality product is delivered for an on time delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors production requirements to ensure capacity and resources are available to meet the customer's delivery requirements, while juggling the small rush orders.
  • Utilizes SAP system to schedule production activity for on time delivery by developing sufficient min / max inventory quantities with accurate lead-time. 
  • Provides Cost Estimations for Project Engineering/Sales, as needed.
  • Maintains close communications with customers to resolve any manufacturing or design issues to enable the most efficient form of manufacturability and customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitates a J.I.T. cellular manufacturing environment to enable minimal work in process with short lead times. 
  • Promotes a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintains close communication with customer service department personnel to best fulfill customer needs and requirements.
  • Helps set investment priorities for the plant and ensures that sound, well planned capital projects are developed and presented for approval.
  • Maintaining and ensuring infrastructure of the building and facilities are in good working order.
  • Provides technical support to GPNA, as needed.  
  • Ensures the sufficient and cost-optimal supply of the site with all required energies, like gas, electricity, compressed air, water etc. Monitors and evaluates the consumption and take measurements to optimize the consumption.

 

Your Profile:

  • 4 year degree in Engineering or related field. 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes, knowledge of SAP and inventory management, knowledge of J.I. T. Manufacturing knowledge, machining know-how and the ability to read blueprints.
  • 10+ years experience, with a proven track record in a manufacturing operations management role.
  • Prior experience managing in a team based, job-shop environment. 
  • Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to train, develop, motivate and coach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of plant and corporate personnel.
  • Ability to work well without close supervision and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong analysis/problem solving skills
  • Strong commitment to customer service and quality issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
