CVD Process Engineer

The CVD Process Engineer position focuses on CVD coatings applied to the surface of machined graphite parts, but may also include carbon composite and/or other carbon-based materials.  Primarily, this position will focus on semiconductor products and technologies.  Activities will include production support, product development and customer complaint resolution.


Your Opportunity: 

  • Utilize process knowledge to develop solutions for semiconductor applications 
  • Develop and define process and procedures to establish a capable coating process for existing and new product designs
  • Support operation of the CVD department concerning process engineering activities (ie., work in response to specific quality issues or for process optimization projects)
  • Provide technical analysis for customer complaint resolution
  • Develop and manage work package timelines and budgets to find product performance improvements

Your Profile: 

  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline
  • Prior experience with CVD/CVI processing preferred
  • Experience in MOCVD, LED, Epitaxial processing preferred
  • Working knowledge of the semiconductor industry preferred
  • Experience working with graphite and general ceramic materials preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in production and/or R&D environment
  • Ability to apply statistical methodology to establish process capability and to engage in problem solving
