Global Operations Improvement (GOI) Expert (f/m/d)

Your Opportunity: 

• Become a Change expert and support the implementation of (lean) initiatives in the areas of process improvement, organization and capabilities, performance management, mindsets and behaviors, and voice of customer 
• Drive, oversee and monitor the implementation of (lean) initiatives defined by the sprint plan 
• Coach relevant site supervisors, operators, and managers on tools and standards during the implementation of initiatives and support them in preparing progress reviews 
• Communicate Lean Principles into the transformed unit and master a cultural change by employing methods of change management 
• Conduct analyses on shop floor (e.g. waste walks, interviews) and document the findings 
• Report the progress of the initiatives within the GOI team and the line organization 
• Proactively enable cross-plant communication and learning (e.g. organize visits, calls) 

Your Profile:

• Relevant Master or University degree, e.g. in (process or mechanical) engineering, production management or similar 
• Strong background in manufacturing with good track record in lean projects and/or leadership positions in a competitive production environment (e.g. production manager, foreman or project manager) 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with problem-solving tools (e.g. 6 Sigma) 
• Proven experience in the use of lean management tools, such as PDCA, SPC and 5S 
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization 
• Willingness to travel to SGL sites worldwide 
• Ability to work in a team and to operate under pressure, ambiguity and uncertainty 
• Fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages are an added advantage
