Process Operator I

Operator I

Location: Arkadelphia, AR Reports to: Unit Production Supervisor
Department: Production/R1X battery case production

Job Summary:
Operates equipment and machinery or other processing methods within specific parameters to assemble and perform visual or other inspections for conformance to specifications. Packages components and processes shipping documents per customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
•    Comprehend standard task procedures, work order instructions, supplementary instructions, 
•    manufacturer's, and customer's specifications, SDS - safety data sheets and site safety rules. 
•    Comprehend and follow verbal instructions.
•    Use interfaces with SCADA systems for process control and comprehend system feedback to 
•    enable appropriate adjustments to maintain quality.
•    Set-up, operate, load, unload, and monitor process machines per set parameters and takt times. 
•    Clean components (or machines) with automated or manual processes. 
•    Perform component moves via SAP
•    Assemble packaging or other shipping type components.
•    Prepare paperwork and SAP moves for shipment.
•    Collect data such as production rates, quality notes, SPC or routine quality data reports. 
•    Use hand tools such as, but not limited to, battery operated smart fastener drivers and torque 
•    wrenches, dosing tubes, cleaning wands, and various types of material handling equipment.

Skills:
•    Ability to speak effectively before groups, other employees in process knowledge and lessons 
•    learned sharing.
•    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and/or Experience:
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience. 
•    Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
•    Operational knowledge and experience using robotic or other advanced mechanical processes.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•    Required - Keytrain Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) through the Arkansas Work Force Center
•    Ability to effectively complete assignments regardless of face cover requirements. 
•    Forklift Operator License and Hazardous Material Handling are a plus.

•    While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to use hands/fingers to handle, feel and reach. An employee is required to walk, sit, climb, and balance. 
•    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift/move up to 25 
pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. 
•    Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, 
•    depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
•    While on duty, Protective Equipment provided for this position must be used.
